Who do I think will win?
The 2020 election is a very eager competition. Both parties have a very promising outlook. With this election, it’s very hard to tell who will win. As of now, Biden has the lead, but in the 2016 election for most of the voting time, Hillary had the lead, but Trump ended up winning last minute. I think that Biden will win. In our world today, topics of equality and world peace are very important, and more and more people every day are discovering how important it is to look out for the people of our country and their safety.
Why do I think Biden will win?
I think one of the main reasons Biden will be winning is he is very compassionate towards the people and is making a lot of promises to our country about trying to fix the coronavirus situation and help the people and says, “I’m going to shut down the virus, not the country.” Biden also has government experience. For example, Biden served in the U.S. Senate and the White House for 30 years and was on two key committees both as ranking member and chairman. While in Senate and House, Biden passed 167 pieces of legislation. He brought up gay marriage and made it become a reality for our people. Joe Biden introduced the Violence Against Women Act to the United States Congress to try to change the way our country responds to domestic violence and sexual assault. Furthermore, he provided funding for victim assistance services. Joe has done many other amazing things for our people and the country and has said, “We’re going to unite Democrats, Republicans, and independents of every stripe. That’s what the nation needs. We’ve got to bring the country together.” So it’s quite evident why most people would be in his favor during this election season.
The reaction and what Biden will do for our country
I think once Joe Biden wins many people who don’t support him will be very upset. But no matter what, when Joe Biden wins, our people will feel like they can be themselves and not have to be afraid or fear for their lives or health no matter what. Joe’s presidency will ultimately result in a better, safer, and all around more comfortable country for people of color, the LGBTQ community, and all minorities. In my opinion, Joe takes the people into consideration and really wants to help our country. As he once said, “I see you, I hear you, and I understand the urgency of what it is we have to get done in our country. I hope you will join us. You are more than welcome. You’re needed.” As far as I can tell, Joe would make a good president for our country, especially in the condition that it is in today.
